Are there low costs or no costs long term residential treatment centers for drug and alcohol addictions?

Friend of mine has an adult child who has already been in the short term, drug and alcohol rehab (2 weeks to 30 days) treatment only to relapse. He needs long-term treatment of psychological problems associated with the abuse address, but like millions of other Americans, he has no insurance. Is anyone aware that the long-term treatment centers that can help him? Yes, but there is no national program that sponsors them. Get parents to Al-Anon. You need parents and other family members have the same problem and can find cheaper alternatives in your area. If it does not go to an open AA meeting and ask for help from a recovering alcoholic. Just had a loved one through it, I know that things can be extremely difficult. I know there are programs in Southern California in the long term - I believe you called sober houses in Orange County - which really is not profit, and have very long term - a year or so - and is very strict. You must MMPI (Minna Sarasota Multiphasic Personality Inventory) and go through the first big test, but it is free The second thing is that - and it's really sad - Court ordered drug treatment, usually at no cost. If the person hits the ground and ends in your system could be in a better position to help. The family can not save him if he does not want to help themselves. I also urge the county to ask for resources. Good luck, I know it can be extremely difficult .
